The action scenes in the Transformers’ movie mark the highlight of the 2007 summer blockbuster season. Bay is fortunate in having LaBeouf as his lead actor, for it is Shia LaBeouf’s non-threatening All-American Boy looks and innocence that give the movie the emotional grounding it needs to be more than just the lumbering mechanical creation it could easily have become without him. The Transformers HD DVD will be released on Region 1 territories on October 16, 2007, on standard and HD DVD formats. The special feature segment on the DVD will include comments from Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg who share their vision and passion for Transformers.

The movie, Death Proof DVD celebrates the genre and meshes it perfectly with modern filmmaking technique and storytelling prowess. Personally I do not care that there not being released together and am looking forward to purchasing both movies, although obviously it would be nice to get both together. I’m sure we’ll see that monster set at some point.

Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof will be another one of his pulp culture classics to add to his list with Pulp Fiction and True Romance on top.

The red hot writer & director Judd Apatow, on the heels of 2005’s blockbuster “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” again strikes at the heart of the human condition with his latest movie. Knocked Up HD DVD lands on September 25th.
