Fortune Tellers

A Different Form Of Entertainment

Most of us have questions about our lives that cross our minds throughout the day. We have all been unsure about the direction our life will take, and have struggled with decisions to make the right choice of directions to take. During times of uncertainty we look to our trusted family and friends for assistance and guidance. Often, mental health professionals are consulted as well. One place to avoid getting such advice is from a fortune teller.

The term “fortune teller” stirs a mental picture of a carnival like the opening scene in the movie “Big” with Tom Hanks. I just can’t think of a fortune teller in a serious light. I do know that they make big money, but I don’t think they are beneficial to anyone. Please don’t feel like I am attacking your choices if you consult with fortune tellers. This is just my opinion being expressed here. I also know individuals who have been victims of fortune teller scams.

People in turmoil or who seek guidance are at risk of fortune teller scams. People may turn to them because of the mystery involved in both them and the future. They believe a fortune teller can communicate with the past, present, future, and those who have passed on. If that is true, people should not have to pay for such information. One would think the spiritual side of the world would not be impressed that such services were being sold. After all, money is a physical want, and there is nothing spiritual about that.
